Nissan Navara Recalls

April 2012 - Driver seat fault

The Drivers power seat harness may become trapped between the metal seat bracket and the seat lifter Mechanism. If the vehicle continues to be driven in this condition, damage to the harness may occur and this can result in loss of operation of the driver's power seat. In extreme circumstances unexpected self-operation of the driver's power seat base may occur.

Inspection of the driver's power seat harness for correct installation, rectify if necessary. If the harness is damaged it will be replaced with new.

June 2011 - Possible wheel detachment (D40)

In certain rare conditions where the vehicle is used fully loaded and cornering with high lateral acceleration a crack may occur on the spoke of the aluminium wheel. If this condition is ignored and the vehicle continues to be driven, the crack may propagate around other wheel spokes. This condition is expected to create a change in the vehicle handling and in extreme cases could lead to wheel detachment.

Remedial Action: Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected to replace the wheels.

June 2010 - Brakes may not operate correctly

The clevis pin may displace from the brake pedal/brake booster input rod assembly as the clevis pin securing clip may not have been fitted at the factory.

Remedial Action: Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected to check and where necessary fit a clevis pin securing clip.

April 2006 - Rear wheel bearing may fail

A concern has been identified relating to the incorrect assembly of the rear axle. This may result in excessive wear of the wheel bearings, which will lead to noise occurring from the rear axle. If this is not rectified the bearing may ultimately fail, resulting in the assembly becoming detached from the axle.

Remedial action: Recalled vehicles will be checked and fitted with new halfshafts as required.

Vehicle ids: 00000000000012810 to 00000000000067531

February 2006 - Steering control may be lost

A concern has been identified relating to the fitment of the steering shaft lower joint. Should the joint become detached, steering control will be lost.

Remedial action: Recalled vehicles will have the subject joint inspected, and the clamp bolt will be renewed if required.

Vehicle ids covered: 00000000000000000 to 00000000000071555

December 2005 - Propshaft may detach from vehicle

Insufficient torque may have been applied to the propshaft securing bolts during production, and this could lead to vibration. If the concern is not rectified, the propshaft may detach from the vehicle.

Remedial action: Affected vehicles will be recalled and inspected, if necessary the propshaft securing bolts will be replaced.

Vehicle IDs: 00000000000000001 to 00000000000042369

June 2005 - Engine hood may became insecure

A potential welding concern with the lock support of the engine hood has been identified, which if ignored, could result in the hood not being secured when closed.

Remedial action: Recalled vehicles will have the hood replaced with a quality assured part.
